More Scoop on Lightroom

Marc Garrett's since1968 blog has just published a fascinating interview with Mark Hamburg, Adobe's lead developer for the Lightroom project. Among the many fascinating tidbits of information is that the best current estimates for Lightroom coming out of beta are wrong, and a frank acknowledgement that Apple's Aperture release "certainly raised the pressure to ship Lightroom." Recommended reading if you're at all interested in keeping up with the Aperture/Lightroom apps.

Interesting interview. All I can say is that Adobe had better not leave me with an expired beta and inaccessible Lightroom data base containing 11,000 images. I don't care what "disclaimers" Adobe made me ascend to in the beta agreeement. That will be the quickest way to create a loyal Apple Aperture customer out of me (and certainly many others).

Speaking as an investor holding more than a few shares of ADBE I want the folks at Adobe to get moving on getting this stuff shipped and sold!
