Does anyone know of a collection of photographer's slang cataloged anywhere? I find slang and its origins, especially the British variety, very interesting.
I'm proud to say that I had no clue who the young lady was in the picture until I followed a couple of links. (And I live in UK.)
Her name is Lindsay Lohan, and in the U.S. she currently occupies that uncomfortable no-person's-land between teenybopper heartthrob, idolized by 'tweens, and grown-up actress and sex symbol. I used her picture because she has an almost pathologically adversarial relationship with the paparazzi--she hates them flagrantly yet seems to sort of enjoy provoking and interacting with them. Sort of like Sean Penn used to be, back when he was in that same no-person's-land.

I had to cheat and look at the name of the image to figure it out. Then again, my wife makes fun of me for not recognizing actors in movies.
Me: That guy was really good. What's his name again?
My wife: That guy? You mean Robert DeNiro? (Bursts into laughter.)
I only khnow of two slang dictionaries:
Peevish
and
I have to admit that Ian Goodrick (British photographer) was my source for this.

That's Lindsay Lohan? Geez, she is getting more slutty every time I see her. She used to be a cute, charming redhead. (I will never get redheads who dye their hair some other color. What a sin.)
Looks like she just entered some sort of celebrity rehab program today. With luck she might like it there.
