T.O.P. named "Best of the Web" by National Geographic

The Online Photographer has been named by National Geographic Traveler as one of the best places to learn about photography on the web. (Section 3, second paragraph from the bottom.) "My favorite website," says Dan Westergren, Picture Editor for National Geographic Traveler, "where you can find discussions on all aspects of photography." Many thanks to Dan for the kind kudos.

Congrats Mike!

I'm sure I'm not alone, but I've always admired your artistic writing talent, and the fact that you back it up with prodigious knowledge of all things photographic certainly makes for a winning combination.

Then you have Ctein, and Carl Weese (gentlemen I've always loved reading from the PT days, and even before going back to "Darkroom Photography"), and many other contributors who add so much.

Classy, informative, with great photographs and illustrations to boot. What more could a shutterbug ask for?

Fantastic. Well done.

Well, TOP has stayed on regular reading list for over a year now, which very, very few sites manage to do. I have a strong tendency to lose interest in almost anything after a few weeks.

Oh, by the way, your readers only have 24 hours to take advantage of the special holiday offer they find if they follow the "tasteful nudes" banner on your home page. :)

Congratulations, quite an accomplishment for your site to achieve such notoriety after being up for just one year. Your site has also been on my daily read list since it's inception. I enjoy your writing style, photographs, and the broad range of photography oriented topics, (and the occasional tangents to non photo oriented topics) you cover on this site. I hope you are able to maintain your momentum.
