It's been a while since I've said this, so I might as well say it again: the rule for comments is no ad hominem. Comments making personal attacks toward anyone who might be likely to read it here will be rejected, regardless of how pertinent or thoughtful the rest of the comment might be.

We've received several informative comments recently which end with an unacceptable "parting shot." I have no ability to edit the comments; I can only moderate them—that is, say is "yes" or "no." One cheap shot disallows the entire comment.

This is a "please" [more like a plea] of a different type:
Any chance you can have a search mechanism added to the T.O.P. blog?
I can't tell you how many times I've needed to go back into the archives for information and never found it. Such a drag too as there is so much stuff here that really is of value.

I am playing with setting up a blog on Typepad. It is not free, but better in many ways. For instance, you can edit comments.

Blind Spot,
There's supposed to be a search box in the Nav Bar at the top of every page. You can even add a feed for your search terms in Atom or RSS. Are you not seeing that when you view the blog?
