20 Days to Go
...Till the new Nikon DSLR arrives. It's probably a replacement for the aging albeit still excellent D70s.

Where can I get additional info on this? I clicked the link but it goes to the Nikon website opening page, not a specific page about future releases.
The information, such as it is, is in the flash header. There's nowhere else to get information before the embargo date, unless you consider endless uninformed speculation on gearhead sites "information."

20 days...
Until Nikon decides how to respond to the Sony A100 which uses the same sensor as the D200 but costs half the money...
Call me a cynic :-)
My guess is that it will have much upgraded mechanical quality and usability, like the D200.
Canon can't ignore this, and 10MP, for long.
"More power", "More control", "More versatile", "More excitement"....
Reads like the teasers for fake erectile dysfunction pills I get in my junk mail every day.
I'm happy for the Nikon folks. I'm sure it will be a very good camera.
someone on dpreview pointed out that the viewfinder/prism shape looks redesigned and similar that of the d200. i hope so. i have always thought that the biggest weakness of the d70 was the viewfinder.
hmm, the dial on the right is single-tiered like on the d50/d70, instead of double-tiered like on the d200/d2h/d2x. i hope the viewfinder is bigger!
hmm... I've just been reading the original D70 press release (yeah, I know, sad or what?)
"...the D70 surges ahead with more features, more performance, and more value..."
Sound familiar?
